Winner – Health Excellence

Ethos Health would like to congratulate Aaron Johansen and his team at Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group (NCIG) for winning the Health Excellence
award at the 2017 NSW HSEC conference.

It has been a fantastic journey working with NCIG and it is great to see them get recognition for their health and wellness (Bounce) program. The
Bounce Program is a genuine commitment to the health of the workforce that is now producing tangible results. It has been a pleasure to be
part of the strategic planning, delivery of bi-annual health screening, and the development and implementation of their annual health workshops
which have ranged from weight loss challenges, step challenges, functioning movement challenges; to workshops to improve nutrition and create
long-term behaviour lifestyle change. The sustained initiatives over the past six years have resulted in more than 14 people moving to a healthier
BMI category, 13% improvement in functional fitness, 49,501,938 steps in 3 months and a 12% improvement in overall health score.

Don Harwin (Minister for Resources, Energy and Utilities), Aaron Johansen (CEO NCIG), Nathan Juchau (Manager HSEC NCIG) and Stephen Galilee (CEO NSW Minerals Council).
