Ethos Health offers Physiotherapy, Dietetic and Exercise Physiology services from our Newcastle Practice. Our highly experienced providers are registered with all major health insurers, medicare, workcover NSW and the Department of Veterans Affairs, with electronic claiming available on the spot.
Physiotherapists

Tim Schneider
MPhysio(Sports), BAppSc.(Physio)
Tim has more than 15 years experience in sports physiotherapy and has developed a special interest in lumbopelvic and lower limb mechanics. He has worked with a range of sporting teams from amateur to elite including at national, Olympic and Paralympic level.

Chris Morton
MPhtySt, BSc(Hons)
Operations Manager
Chris Morton is a Physiotherapist with 15 years experience. In addition to his clinical load, Chris oversees the general running and operation of the business as well as managing significant research and product development projects. Chris is a regular lecturer in the University of Newcastle’s Physiotherapy program and a media spokesperson for interviews with private health funds, print media, radio and more.

Nick Hewitt
BPhty(Hons)
Nick worked alongside Ethos Health physios throughout his studies at the University of Newcastle, and has now been with us in the clinic for a few years. Nick has a passion for sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and divides his time between our Newcastle practice and Wanderers Rugby Club.

Connor Eyers
BPhty(Hons)
Connor graduated from the University of Newcastle in 2014 and has been working with Ethos Health ever since. He has worked with a number of local and representative sports teams and enjoys treating all types of injuries and painful conditions, especially the shoulder.

Nick Davies
BAppSc. (Physio)
Nick is a Newcastle University graduate, who worked in various private practice and hospital settings in Australia and the UK prior to joining Ethos Health in 2018., Nick has a special interest in the treatment and prevention of work-related injuries and provides consulting services to a range of organisations while working in various on-site clinics throughout the Hunter.

Dave Naylor
BAppSc (Physio), BSc (HM)
David Naylor is a physiotherapist with more than 15 years of sports experience. He has a special interest in the biomechanics of injury and rehabilitation, rugby union injuries, shoulder and lower limb injury management.

Nic Gentizon
BPhty (Hons)
Nic is an accredited physiotherapist, graduating from the University of Newcastle in 2021. Throughout Nic’s studies he worked alongside physios from several sporting teams across Newcastle. Nic has a special interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy coming from his desire to see people return to sport/work and succeed. Nic will divide his time working in our Newcastle practice and Cooks Hill Football Club.

Benn West
BSc(HM), Cert IV TAE
Benn's special interests are wide ranging and include musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation, exercise during cancer treatment, and chronic disease management (for example, diabetes, COPD or heart disease). Benn works from our Newcastle West and Lake Macquarie practices.
Dietitians

Dr. Jane Watson
PhD BHSc (N&D), Cert IV TAE
Jane translates nutrition science into practical advice to promote healthy eating. Her interest in infant, child and maternal nutrition was consolidated during her PhD where she developed and validated a food-frequency questionnaire to assess the dietary intakes of children and adolescents. Jane has undertaken additional study in child nutrition, population health and is an accredited practitioner for the Triple P parenting program. She is passionate about working with families to promote healthy eating habits during pregnancy and beyond. As the mother of 3 boys, Jane's approach is down-to-earth, realistic and practical.

Scarlett Gray
BNutrDiet (Hons)
Scarlett is passionate about helping people understand the role of nutrition in their everyday life and by simplifying complex information into practical strategies.
Scarlett can help you with:

- Disordered eating
- Building healthy relationships with food
- Sports nutrition
- Women’s health
- Food intolerances and allergies
Scarlett’s nutrition theory is that “healthy” eating isn’t what you think it might be, and that nutritional change should work with you not against you.

Rowan Davison
BNutrDiet (Hons)
Rowan graduated with Honours from the University of Newcastle in 2013. Prior to joining the Ethos Health team in 2019, Rowan worked primarily with NSW Health in both inpatient and community settings within Hunter, Murrumbidgee and Sydney districts. He has experience in a wide range of issues including weight management, paediatrics, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, oncology, cardiac and renal (kidney) function, aged care, sports nutrition, vegetarian/vegan eating and mental health. Rowan has a special interest in gut health and has completed training in FODMAPs with Monash University and also Microba training which certifies him to assist clients who are interested in microbiome testing. Rowan's clients appreciate his knowledge, his kindness and his practical approach.
