Ethos Health delivers comprehensive pre-employment medical and functional assessments with a 24-hour report turnaround. Here are the four steps involved.
Step 1: Booking is completed through our online booking system
This will be personalised to your company through a secure booking link.
A choice can be made to either select a time for the candidate or for the candidate to choose a time themselves. The interface is appropriately different for the employer and the candidate.
At the completion of booking, our admin team will be informed, and onboarding information will be sent to the candidate for them to complete.

Step 2: Candidate completes pre-assessment forms
So that our clinicians have an appropriate background knowledge of the presenting candidate, there is a pre-assessment questionnaire for the candidate to complete.
This includes a standardised health history questionnaire including information about previous injuries, medication, exercise habits, previous workers’ compensation claims, and more. This will help guide our clinicians in their targeted examination of the candidate and relevant investigation for the proposed role.
Specific questionnaires can be included in the onboarding phase at the referrer’s request.
Step 3: Candidate presents for assessment
The candidate will first see the nurse for their body composition, heart rate, blood pressure, hearing, spirometry, vision, urinalysis, and D&A tests.
Secondly, the candidate will see a physiotherapist, where they will undertake a musculoskeletal exam, aerobic fitness test, manual handling, and postural tolerance testing.
Inclusions can be changed and personalised by the referrer OR a selection from our category A/B/C/D assessments can be made appropriate to the proposed role.
A doctor is also available on site once a week at Ethos Health if that is a requirement for the referrer.
Step 4: Report finalised and distributed to referrer
Once the assessment is completed, a report will be generated on Ethos Health’s pre-employment platform, reviewed and forwarded to the referrer generally on the same day (24-hour guarantee).
