Hunter Safety Award Winner

Our RESHAPE training course is what made us the Hunter Safety award winner. RESHAPE provides organisations a practical and systematic framework to enable employees to reduce modifiable health risk factors, aiming to prevent chronic disease. Reducing these factors requires positive behavior changes relating to smoking, nutrition, alcohol, physical activity, stress, health surveillance, obesity and fatigue.

The rise of preventable chronic disease is having a significant and costly impact on Australian workplaces. Workers with chronic disease have higher rates of absenteeism and presenteeism, reduced productivity, increased injury and illness, slower rates of recovery and higher worker compensation costs.

RESHAPE is a framework that guides an organisation through the 8-step methodology of implementation and evaluation. Organisations then have the autonomy to run the initiatives most suitable for their needs, evaluate their effectiveness, and continuously improve the health strategy.

RESHAPE helps employees and organisations be as healthy as they can be, whether they are white or blue collar, large or small.

We would like to thank all the workplaces who work with us to make RESHAPE a success, in particular the involvement of NSW Minerals Council and its members.
